Tug-o-war

I was at field day this past Tuesday and at the end we faced another gifted fourth grade class. Pakula-vs.-Russo! Even though the class number of kids were even Russos team got extra kids! My class, Pakula, was pulling as hard as we could until finally they got our front tugger hanging in the air. After he fell the person behind him fell and it kept going like that till the whole class was down. My friend Sophia was the last tugger so she fell last. She was standing there pulling as hard as she could, until she just gave up and was dragged onto the ground like the others. I had enough space between me and other people I didn't hit my head on anyone else. Everyone I talked to did. My friend in front of me happened to hit MY foot. It was a real life dominoe chain of people!!!

School Yard Rules

My brother once told me the two most important schoolyard rules. Here they are:

Never snitch

What happens in the school yard stays in the school yard

If you are in school, especially middle, follow these rules.

Turd Graders

Two days after the talk with my brother, Marina, Lexy, Hannah, and I were waiting for the four square set-up on our blacktop to be free, stupid third graders were playing. The kid who was in ace was a total jerk, he was acting cool in front of his peers. We asked him about a million moves of whether he knew them and to each one he would reply no. We had been waiting there for about 1 third of our recess, 10 minutes, when the ace called out "Black Magic"! I quickly jumped in and asked what that meant and he told me you put the ball in the middle and all the players 1-3 jump to their outer corner. I looked at my friends and we were grinning from ear-ear. Finally the third graders were called in from recess and we got to use the set-up, but we looked for a ball to use for 3 minutes then we were called in. We ended up spending our entire 30 minute recess watching turd graders!
